Create Contract
Explanation
Use this activity to create a contract.
Prerequisites
A company should exist.
System Effects
  - A contract will be created in the Enquiry status, and you can start adding the 
  contract details, e.g., contract default values, lines, and items.
  
- A contract revision will be automatically created in the Planned status with
    the revision date set to 
  the current date. The columns Update Allowed During Approval, Audit Trail, 
	Contract Change Order 
  Required and Change Comment Required are all not selected by default.

Procedure
  - In either the 
	Sales Contract window 
  or the Sales 
  Contracts window, 
  insert a new record. 
- You have the option to enter a contract number. If not, this is 
  automatically assigned by the system.
- Enter a contract name and contract type. Use the List of Values to 
	select from the valid contract types.
- At least one customer or prospect must be entered in the contract header to save the contract.
    The List of Values on the customer ID displays the valid customers and 
	prospects. 
- Enter a currency. Use the List of Values to select from the valid 
  currency codes.
- The company will use the default global company if one exists, but the
    value can be 
  changed. However, once the contract is saved, this field can no longer be 
  modified. Use the List of Values to select from the valid companies.
- Entering a value in the Site  field is optional. Use the List of
    Values to 
	select from all the allowed sites.
- Entering a value in the Contract Reference free text field is
    optional. It can be entered when 
  creating the contract or at a later date.
- Entering a value in the Contract Manager  field is optional. It can be entered when creating the 
  contract or at a later date. The List of Values displays all the valid persons.
- Save the contract.
