Change Contract Status to Lost 
Explanation
Use this activity to change the status of a contract to Lost. If an agreement 
has not been reached with the customer, or a competitor wins the contract, the 
contract is considered as lost.
Prerequisites
The contract must be in the Tendered status.
System Effects
  - The contract status will be changed to Lost. 
- The probability to win will be set to 0% 
- The Lost date will be set to the current date. The date may be changed later if 
  needed. 
- 
The
 Sales Contract/Win/Loss tab will be updated.

Procedure
  - In either the 
	Sales Contract 
  or the
Sales Contracts window, select the 
  contract which has been lost.
- Right-click, point to
    Status and then click Lost Contract. The 
	Lost information dialog box
    opens.
- Enter the competitor to whom the contract was lost in the 
	Lost To field. 
  Use the 
  List of Values to select from all the competitors. 
- Enter a value in the Reason ID field. Use the List of Values 
	to select from the valid reason IDs for the reason type Lost.
- Additional information can be entered into the  
	Lost Note field 
  if required.
- Click OK to confirm.
