Creating a Document File Template
Explanation
This activity is used to add and view document file templates. A document file 
template allows you to use a document revision of an existing document as a 
template for one or more document classes. An asterisk (*) can be used to select 
all formats. A template can also be created from a document in the 
Document 
Revision/General
tab. 
Prerequisites
  - A document revision must exist.
- The specified language and format must exist. 
System Effects
As a result of this activity, when creating new documents in this document class, the selected document 
file will be used as a template for the new document.

Procedure
  - Open the 
	EDM Basic window and click the 
	Document File
    Template tab.
- In the Document Class field, enter a valid document 
  class and click OK.  
  
- Double click on the lower table to add a template. (F5) 
- In the Language Code field, enter a language 
  manually or use the List of Values. A  Language Description 
  field value is then entered automatically. 
- In the Format field, enter a format or use the
  List of Values or enter *. A Format Description field value is then entered 
  automatically. 
- Select a value for the Template Class 
	field. 
    
- In the Document Number field, using the List of 
  Values, select a document number. A Title field value is then 
  entered automatically. 
- In the Sheet field, enter a sheet number manually or 
  use the List of Values. 
- In the Revision field, enter a revision level 
  manually or use the List of Values.. 
- In the Document File Template Description field, 
  enter a description for your document file template. This field accepts a 
  maximum of 40 characters. 
- Click Save.
