Replace Sales Rule Value

Explanation

This activity is used to change values in one or several sales rules within the same configuration family. The replace functionality makes it possible to change any value in a sales rule without the need to search for specific sales rules and having to manually change every sales rule. 

Possible value types that can be maintained:

• Value (for example an option value)
• Characteristic Value
• Characteristic Quantity
• Formula
• Combination
• Order Info 

If you need to change a value in a sales rule that is in the Released state, select the Include Released Sales Rules check box. The condition and action sections will be refreshed automatically with the sales rules that have the values you searched for.

Select the sales rules that you want to change the values of and maintain in the condition and action sections.    

Prerequisites

• IFS/Configuration Back Office and IFS/Configuration Characteristic must be installed.
• A configuration family and part configuration revision with sales rules connected must exist to be referenced for the replace functionality.

System Effects

The sales rules that where chosen to be changed will get the new value from the replace function.

Procedure

Replace a formula with a New Created Formula:

1. Select a value for the Config Family ID field using the List of Values.
2. In Find Value section, select the value type Formula.
3. In the Value field, select the formula in list of values that you want to replace.
4. In Replace with Value section, select the value type Formula.
5. In the Value field select the formula in list of values that will be the new formula.
6. Select Include Released Sales Rules if you want to include released part configuration revisions in the search.
7. Select the sales rules to be maintained with the new value.
8. Click OK or Apply to replace the old formula with the new formula.
