Update Project Operation

Explanation

The most current operations in the standard manufacturing structure may not always be reflected in the project delivery structure. Using this activity you are able to update the list of operations given in the Project Item Navigator/Project Operations tab with the latest operations from the manufacturing routing operations or from the template operations. For configurable parts, configuration rules will be re-executed when the Update Operations menu option is selected.

Prerequisites

• The delivery project should exist.
• The provide code of the project item should be Make.
• The Use Project Operations checkbox should be selected.
• A modified routing or template operation line should exist in the Project Item Navigator/Project Operations tab.

System Effects

• The project operation lines will be updated accordingly.

Procedure

1. Open the Project Item Navigator window, query for the required project and select the appropriate item.
2. Click the Project Operations tab, right-click and select Update Project Operations menu option.
3. If there are any modified routing or template operations, you will receive a warning message.
4. Click OK to update the operations.
