Complete Off Log Structure for New Serials
Explanation
This activity is used to populate missing parts/serials of the Off Log
structure for a selected branch of the Off Log structure. Serials which are
different to the ones that are expected may be added to the work scope during
the disassembly. This activity requires that the Off Log structure node does not
have structure information yet in the Off Log while the serial structure
information exists in VIM. When the prerequisites have been fulfilled, this
activity will read the serial structure information and store that into the Off
Log. You are allowed to populate one or all levels from the serial structure.
If this unexpected or new serial's structure carries position parts
holding a quantity higher than one for serialized parts, then they will be added
to the
Map Serial Numbers tab in
Change Work Scope Tasks
window. It is also be possible to populate the Off Log for a certain work
order with selected structure branches for a given parent serial that already
exists in the Off Log. When executing this activity if all the serial
structure information have not yet been entered in IFS/VIM (IFS/Vehicle
Information Management), then serialized parts
with serial numbers and non-serialized parts will be inserted to the
Off Log.
