Define Chemical Properties of a Substance     
Explanation
This activity is used to define the chemical properties 
of a substance. The properties of the substance are 
used to calculate the physical properties of a recipe part.
Prerequisites
	- Details in the header area of the 
	Substance 
window should be specified and saved.

Procedure
	- Open the Substance window and then 
	click the Chemical Properties tab.
- Click New.
- In the Substance Type list, select the type to which the 
	substance belongs. If the substance type is Solvent you 
	can choose if the solvent is a Non-VOC Solvent
	by selecting the 
	Non-VOC Solvent  
	check box.
- In the Density field enter the density for the substance. If the 
	substance is a volatile substance, entering a value in this field is 
	mandatory.
- If the substance absorbs oil, enter the value for the oil 
	absorption in the Oil Absorption field. 
- If the substance type is pigment, the Color Pigment check box 
	can be selected. A 
	pigment can be colored or non-colored. 
- If the substance type is Solvent or Water, the 
	Volatile check box 
	will automatically be selected.
- Save the record.
