To Object Structure

A pipe system is the same as a pipeline in a facility and main equipment like column, heat exchanger, reactor, pressure vessel or pump is entered as to-object for this pipe system. It is usually not recommended to enter to-object relations on secondary equipment (valves, ventilation, drains, instrument measuring equipment and so on) on detailed pipe segments. It's more common to be used for main equipment and pipe systems. This enables work and preventive maintenance to be monitored and planned by using main equipment and all pipe lines that are arriving to it. For example, monitor and plan all work for a pressure vessel and pipe lines that are arriving to the pressure vessel.
This structure could be created in two different ways:

• Starting from the top with an existing functional object that is represented by a pressure vessel. Secondly, create the underlying child structures with pipe lines that are arriving to the pressure vessel. Pipe lines entered at the bottom will in this case be created and connected to the pressure vessel in one single step.
• Starting from the bottom with a functional object represented by the pipe system and then select an already existing top object e.g. a pressure vessel.
