Procedure
A summary of the procedure is outlined below.
You can import demand planning forecasts either directly (Procedure A) or schedule
the task by using the New Database Task Schedule.
(Procedure B).
Procedure A
	- In IFS/Forecasting, verify the existence of the plan demand forecasts that
	you want to import.
- From either Master Scheduling or Material Requirements Planning, open the
	Import Demand Planning Forecasts dialog
	box.
- In the Site field, accept the default value, or enter another site
for the Level 1 part or MRP spare part for which you want to import plan demand
forecasts. Type a value or use the List of Values to select from available sites.
A description of the site appears in the field to the right. If you leave this
field blank, the system will select all user sites.
- In the Part No field, type a part number, or use the List of Values
to select from available parts. A description of the part appears in the field
to the right. If you leave this field blank, the system will select all parts
	in all user sites.
- If you are importing into a master-scheduled part in the
	Import Demand Planning Forecasts dialog,
accept the default value in the Target MS Set field, or enter the number
of another MS set. A description of the MS set appears in the field to the right.
This field is not available in the Import Demand
Planning Forecasts for Spare Parts dialog.
- In the Begin Date field, accept the default value. If you are importing
into a master scheduled part, you may instead enter another date on which you
want to begin importing plan demand forecasts for the Level 1 part. If you leave
this field blank, the system will import data from the earliest plan demand
forecasts from the day after the demand time fence date through the End Datee.

- In the End Date field, enter the date on which you want to stop importing
plan demand forecasts. If you leave this field blank, the system will import
data from the Begin Date through the date of the latest plan demand forecasts.

- In the Forecast Type area, click either Regular
or Budget. If you click Regular, the system will import plan demands
that were entered as forecasts in IFS/Forecasting. If you click Budget,
the system will import plan demands that were entered as budgets.
- In the Forecast Distribution area, click either
	Start Date, Daily or Weekly.

- In the Process area, click either Background or Online.

- If you are importing into a master scheduled part in the
	Import Demand Planning Forecasts dialog,
you can optionally select the check box at the bottom of the dialog box. This
tells the system to import plan demand forecasts that are inside the planning
time fence date. This check box is not available in the
Import Demand Planning Forecasts for Spare Parts
	dialog box.
- Click OK. The system
imports the plan demand forecasts for the specified site and part within the
	selected time span.
- If the import process is being done in the background, you can view its
	progress in the Background
	Jobs window.
- When the import process is complete, view the forecast data in the
	Register Forecast
tab of the MS Level 1 Part
window, or in the MRP Spare
	Part Forecasts window.
Procedure B
Click Schedule button and set the parameters to schedule import demand
planning forecasts to Master Scheduling Level 1 or to MRP spares.
