Connect Work Guideline to Operation

Explanation

Use this activity to connect work guidelines to a selected operation. Work guidelines can be created manually or from a work guideline template.

Prerequisites

If a work guideline template is to be used, that template must be defined. An operation must also be defined for a part.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the system connects work guidelines to an operation. When there is a standard operation as a reference, work guidelines will be connected to that operation without removing the reference.

Procedure

1. Query the part that has the operations to which you want to connect work guidelines.
2. Click the Routings tab.
3. Point to the operation to which you want to connect work guidelines, right-click, then click Routing Operation Work Guidelines.
4. Click in the table window and create a new record (F5).
5. To create a work guideline manually, enter values for the Guideline Desc and Guideline Text fields.
6. To use a work guideline template, point to the new line, right-click, then click Work Guideline Template. Select a work guideline template, then click OK.
7. Repeat steps 3-6 for each work guideline that you want to connect to the selected operation.
8. Save the record (F12).
