Copy Routing Alternative

Explanation

Use this activity to copy a specific routing alternative to a specific routing alternative on a pre-existing routing revision.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that the routing for which you want to create an alternative must have been created.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the system copies a specific routing alternative to a specific routing alternative on a preexisting routing revision. Tool usage information is copied. No serial pointers are copied. These must be manually defined by the user. No work guidelines are copied. If the new alternate contains operations, the alternate will be set to the default state, as defined in Site/Manufacturing.

Procedure

1. Select the part and the source routing alternative.
2. Right-click in the Routings tab, then click Copy Alternative.
3. In the Destination Alternative group box, click List to select the destination part in the Part No field.
4. In the Destination Alternative group box, select the revision number in the Revision No field. Click List to select from existing revisions.
5. Enter the alternative number in the Alternative field in the Destination Alternative group box.
6. In the Destination Alternative group box, click List to select the site to which you are copying.
7. Select Routing Type from the List box in the Destination Alternative group box.
8. Click OK.
