Sequence Instructions within a Task Code
Explanation
This activity is used to define a network of
instructions and subtasks within a given task code (maintenance code,
modification code, condition limit, fault function, life
limit or post maintenance check definitions). This is done by defining
predecessors for instructions within a task code and for subtasks within an
instruction, which would then represent the optimized sequencing of task codes
to be performed within a maintenance visit. Note that the procedure for defining the network of subtasks
within instructions is described in the activity Sequence Subtasks within an
Instruction.
The purpose of this activity is to support the process
of sequencing the work for regular maintenance orders with connected tasks
(i.e., non-ELS maintenance orders).
Prerequisites
To perform this activity, instructions must be defined for a task code
(i.e., maintenance code, modification code, condition limit, fault function, life limit
or post maintenance check definitions).
System Effects
	- The instructions which are defined for a given task code will be
	sequenced.
- The sequencing will be transferred to the work order (in IFS/Work Order
Management) when the corresponding maintenance order is released.

Procedure
General Procedure:
	- In the Operation Number field, enter the instruction (operation).
Use the List of Values to select a valid value.
- In the Preceding Operation Number
field, enter the predecessor. Use the List of Values to select a valid
	value.
- Save the information (F12).
For Maintenance Codes:
	- Open the Instructions per Maintenance Code
window and query (F3) for the necessary part revision and/or maintenance
	code.
- Click the Sequencing tab and create
	a new record (F5).
- Continue with the steps described under
	General Procedure.
For Modification Codes:
	- Open the Modification Details
window and query (F3) for the necessary part revision and/or modification
	code.
- Click the Instructions tab and then
	click the Sequencing subtab.
- Continue with the steps described under
	General Procedure.
For Condition Limits:
	- Open the Condition Monitoring Program
window and query (F3) for the necessary part revision.
- Click the Instructions tab and
	select the necessary condition limit.
- Click the Sequencing tab and continue with the steps described under
	General Procedure.
For Fault Functions:
	- Open the Instructions per Fault Function
window and query (F3) for the necessary fault function.
- Click the Sequencing tab and create
	a new record (F5).
- Continue with the steps described under
	General Procedure.
For Life Limits:
	- Open the Serial Part Revision window
and query (F3) for the necessary part revision.
- Click the Life Limit tab.
- If you need to retrieve all the stress rating
values for the selected part revision, right-click, and then click Get
	Stress Ratings.
- In the Stress Ratings table select the
relevant stress rating record, and then click the Sequencing
	tab.
- Create a new record (F5).
- Continue with the steps described under
	General Procedure.
For Post Maintenance Check Definitions:
	- Open the Post Maintenance Check Definition
	window.
- Search for the required post maintenance check definition.
- Click the Instructions tab.
- Select the relevant part revision from the Part Number list.
- Click the Sequencing tab and continue with the steps described under
	General Procedure.
