Create Report for Slow Moving Inventory Parts

Explanation

This activity is used to create a report showing slow moving inventory parts. You can choose the site and commodity groups to be included in the reports. A part will be considered slow moving, if it has been issued at a rate less than the indicated percentage in the Issued Qty (%) field.

Prerequisites

This activity has the following prerequisites:

• Inventory part statistics should have been updated in the Aggregate Inventory Transactions per Period dialog box.
• For parts to be included in the report, a commodity group 2 must be set up on the inventory part record.

System Effects

A report of slow moving inventory parts will be created.

Procedure

1. Open the Create Report for Slow Moving Inventory Part dialog box.
2. Enter the site either manually or by using the List of Values. It is possible to leave this field blank in order to get the slow moving part details on all sites connected to the user.
3. Optionally, enter values in the From Commodity Group 2 and To Commodity Group 2 fields. Leave these two fields blank if you want the system to create a report including all commodity groups.
4. Enter a value in the Issued Qty (%) field. The system will include only the parts that have been issued at a rate less than the indicated percentage.
5. Enter a value in the Minimum Inventory Value field. The system will include only parts where the total inventory value exceeds the entered value.
6. Enter the created date in the Created field if needed.
7. Optionally enter values in the From Year and To Year fields to specify the statistical year(s) for the report.
8. Optionally enter values in the From Period and To Period fields to specify the statistical periods for the report.
9. Click Preview or Print to view or print the report.
