This activity is used to create and maintain handling unit categories that are used to categorize handling unit types with similar characteristics. Example of categories could be containers, pallets etc. This task is to be performed by a system administrator or an equivalent person.

Procedure

1. Open the Handling Unit Categories window and create a new record.
2. In the Handling Unit Category ID field, enter an ID, using no more than 25 alphanumeric characters.
3. Enter a description of the handling unit category.
4. Save the changes.
