Enter Accounting Group
Explanation
Use this activity to set up accounting groups. Accounting groups is a method 
of grouping items, such as by existing product groups. It is possible to use 
this sorting criteria when defining posting controls for a specific code part. 
Note that there is no connection between the accounting groups specified on 
inventory parts and the account groups that exist in IFS/Financials. This optional task is to be performed by a system administrator or equivalent person.
Prerequisites
There are no specific prerequisites.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
  - An accounting group is created.
- The accounting group can be linked to an inventory part in the 
	Inventory
    Part/General tab.
- Inventory parts with accounting group codes can be sorted and retrieved by
    using those codes in queries.

Procedure
  - Open the Inventory Basic Data window.
- Click the 
	Accounting Groups tab, and select New.
- Using no more than 5 alphanumeric characters, enter an ID for the accounting group in the 
	Accounting Group
    field.
- Enter a description of the accounting group.
- Save the record.
