Specify Warehouse Worker Information
Explanation
The warehouse worker is the person who carries out the warehouse
tasks; each worker must be entered in the system, together with information about his or
her task types and location groups. Each worker is connected to a work schedule that is
defined in Calendar.
The warehouse worker is connected to a person entered in Person
in IFS/Enterprise. All the personal data, such as name and address, is entered. In
addition, the following information needs to be specified: the worker's task types, how
much of the worker's time that should be spent performing the tasks, and his efficiency
rating. The warehouse worker also must be connected to the location groups where he can
work.
This information is used both for warehouse planning and
warehouse management. The planning functionality includes the possibility to view the
total available work time and compare it to the work load. This kind of information can be
seen in Workload per Location Group and in graphical form
Work
Load per Location Group Graph.
The warehouse management functionality uses the warehouse worker
information when tasks are assigned; for example, the system decides which tasks can be
assigned to a specific worker.
