Define Resources
Explanation
Use this activity to define different resources in a work center. When you register a
work center, one resource with the same name as the work center is defined automatically.
Prerequisites
This activity requires that a work center must have been created.
System Effects
As a result of this activity the system defines resources in a work center.
When a work center has multiple resources and when the work center is
connected to several operations of a shop order resource assignment will be as
follows:
	- If any work center resource is not loaded and all resources are of 100%
efficiency, resources are assigned to operations according to alphabetical
	order of the resource ID.
- If all resources are loaded with the same load and they have different
resource efficiencies, the first resource to get assigned to the first
operation is the resource having the maximum efficiency.  Same logic
follows when shop order with many operations and resources are connected to
	the work center.
- If the work center resources have different loads and same efficiency,
the resource having the minimum load will get assigned to the first
operation and the same logic follows for all operations and work center
	resources.
- If the work center resources have different loads and different
efficiencies, then system considers "hours loaded"/Efficiency value and the
resource that has a minimum value gets assigned to the first operation of
	the SO.
These calculations are carried out for each and every operation before the
resources are assigned. Therefore, there might be instances where the same
resource appearing in two consecutive operations.

Procedure
  - Select the work center for which you want to define a resource in the Work Center
    field.
- Click the
	Resource tab.
- Create a new record.
- Enter a short code in the Resource ID field and a description of the
    resource in the Description field.
- In the Object ID field, specify the object in IFS/Maintenance to which the resource corresponds. Use the List of Values to
select from available objects. This field is optional.
- Specify the validity range of the resource in the Start Date and End Date
  fields. You
do not need to specify an end date.
- Specify the efficiency of the resource in the Efficiency field.
- Repeat steps 3-7 for every resource you want to define.
- Save the record.
