Plan Shop Order
Explanation
Use this activity to plan a shop order, i.e., change the status of an order in 
Released or Parked status to Planned. A planned
shop order is a low-status order. You cannot reserve material or schedule operations for low-status orders, such as for a part
you plan to manufacture but have not yet planned when to begin manufacturing. You can only plan an order with 
Released or Parked
status. Shop orders in 
Planned status may be pegged manually.
Prerequisites
To perform this activity, the shop order must have Released or Parked 
status. 
System Effects
As a result of this activity the system changes the status of the shop order to 
Planned.

Procedure
To plan shop order(s) using the data view:
  - Open the Shop Order, Shop Orders 
	or MRO Shop Order 
	window.
- Search for the shop order(s). 
- If using the Shop Order 
	or MRO Shop Order 
	window, right-click anywhere in the header, 
	point to 
	Shop Order Status 
	and then click 
	Plan. If 
	using the 
	Shop Orders 
	window, select a line(s), right click, point to 
	Shop Order Status 
	and then click 
	Plan.
To plan shop order(s) using using the visualization view:
	- Open a visualizer enabled window 
	and query for the site needed.
- If the Data View is displayed, click 
	Visualization View on the title bar. 
	
- Right-click and click 
	Select Visualization. 
	The 
	Select Visualization dialog box is 
	opened.
- Double-click 
	Shop Order Machine Load, Shop Order 
	Labor Load, Shop Orders Material Availability 
	or Shop Orders Material 
	Availability Summary.
- Select the bar/segment 
	representing the shop order(s) you want to release, right-click, point to 
	Shop Order Status 
	and then click 
	Plan.
