Change Shop Order Owner

Explanation

Use this activity to change the owner of the shop order product, component material and by-products.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that no reservations, issues, or receipts have been made on the shop order.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the owner of the shop order product, component material and by-products is changed at one time.

The components or by-product lines with the Ownership selected as Company Owned will not be affected by this activity.

Procedure

1. Using one of the following methods, select one or more shop orders that you want to release:
   • In the Shop Order window, select a single shop order from the Order No list.
   • In the Shop Orders window, select one or more shop orders from the table.
2. Right-click and then click Change Owning Customer. The Change Owning Customer dialog box opens.
3. In the Owning Customer field, enter the customer who will become the new owner. (You can use the List of Values to select the customer.)
4. Click OK. The owning customer of the shop order will change.
