Supply Operational Parameter Information
Explanation
This activity is used to register operational parameters
per serial part and maintenance group. When you enter a
new operational parameter, this parameter is automatically assigned to all serials
belonging to the selected maintenance group. Likewise, when you delete an operational
parameter, this parameter is automatically removed from all serials belonging to
the selected
maintenance group. Note that an operational parameter for a maintenance group cannot be removed
if the operational parameter is defined for the serial part or if serials
defined for the part number and maintenance group have operational loggings.
However, if the operational parameter you wish to remove is defined for a serial
part, the Remove Operational Parameter menu option can be used to remove
the operational parameter provided the necessary prerequisites are fulfilled.
For more information, please refer to the Remove Operational Parameter for Serial Part
activity.
All operational parameters defined for
a maintenance group with associated serials can be measured with operational
data. The sorting code/sequence number given for the operational parameter determines in which order
the operational parameters are measured when operational log entries are given.
If parameters are to be calculated, their sequence becomes important. The parameters to be calculated must have a
higher sequence than the parameters on which the calculations are based.
In the Due Info Sorting field the 5 operational
parameters to be displayed when due information is presented can be indicated.
This field is hidden by default, but can be made visible by using the Column
Chooser functionality. The sorting will also define the order in which the
operational parameters will be presented. Note: If you enter a sorting
number that is higher than 5, due information will not be displayed for the
operational parameter in most of the windows where due information is presented.
If a due information sorting value is not entered, the system will automatically
ensure a numbering of the operational parameter based on the value of the
Sorting Code field.
Prerequisites
  - A maintenance group must be defined for the serial
    part.

- Valid operational parameters must be defined.
- A primary operational parameter must be entered for
    the serial part before
a new maintenance group can be entered.
- The parameters to be calculated must be defined
with a higher sequence number than the parameters on which the calculation is based.
System Effects
  - You can register operational log data for all
serials belonging to a registered part number and maintenance group.

- Maintenance groups defined after the operational
parameters have been defined for the serial part, automatically get all
    defined operational parameters.
- The operational parameter sequence decides in
which order the operational parameters are measured when operational log data
    is entered.
- The due information sorting number indicates which 5 operational
parameters should be displayed when due information is presented. It also
defines the order in which the parameters are to be displayed.

Procedure
Select from the following options to register/update operational parameters per serial part and
maintenance group.
Option 01
  - Open the Operational Parameters per Maintenance Group
window and create a new record (F5).
- Enter a sequence number in the Sorting Code
field, to identify the the order of the parameters when operational loggings
	are recorded.
- Optionally, in the Due Info Sorting field, enter a sorting to
indicate which 5 operational parameters should be displayed when due
information is presented, and the order in which these parameters should be
displayed. This field is hidden by default. To make it visible, right-click
on the column header and then click Column Chooser. In the dialog box
that opens, select the Due Info Sorting check box and then click
	OK.
- Enter values in the Part Number and Maint
Group fields. Use the List of Values to select a value for the
    respective fields.
- In the Operational Parameter field enter the
operational parameter that is to be measured. Use the List of Values to
select a value. The value in this field cannot
be
changed or deleted after a serial has undergone operational logging.
- Select the Calculated check box if the
operational parameter is to be calculated.
- In the Max Value field, enter the maximum value that can be entered when
measuring the operational parameter for the serial. The maximum value for each operational parameter must be updated from a default value 0
to enable operational
loggings for serials defined for a serial part and a maintenance group to be
    performed.
- Optionally, if you want due calculation done on the
selected serial part you must enter a value in either the Historical
Average Value, Planned Average Value or Manual Average Value
fields, depending on the average value rule defined for the maintenance
group of the serial in the
	Serial Part/Maint Group tab.

    - If the average value rule for the selected
maintenance group is Historical Average Value or Planned Average Value, select the right mouse
button option Calc Average Value to automatically enter the
calculated value in this field provided, values have been entered for the
      serial.
- If the average value rule for the selected
maintenance group is Manual Average Value, enter a value in the Manual
      Avg Value field.
  - Save the record.
Option 02
  - Open the
	Serial Part window.
- In the Part Number field query (F3) for the
part number you want to enter an operational parameters for.
- Click the
	Oper. Param. per Maint. Group
tab and create a new record (F5).
- Continue with steps 2 to 9 detailed in option 01. Note:
The Part Number field does not appear in this tab as it is in the
    header of the
	Serial Part window.
The Operational Parameters per Maintenance Group window can also be viewed as a tab in the
Maintenance
Plan window. The
Maintenance Plan/Oper. Param. per Maint Group
tab is read-only. To update/enter operational parameters in this tab, select the
right mouse button option Operational Parameters per Maintenance Group to
open the Operational Parameters per Maintenance Group
window.
