Enter Master Schedule Level 0

Explanation

This activity is used to enter forecasts for level 0 parts.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that the part must have been registered as a level 0 part before you can enter the forecast.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the system automatically transfers the forecast you enter on level 0 to level 1 when the disaggregation process is performed.

Procedure

  1. Open the MS Level 0 Part window.
  2. Create a new record.
  3. In the Part No field, select the part for which you want to register a forecast.
  4. Under Time Fences, enter values in the Demand field.
  5. Under Time Fences, enter a value in the Planning field.
  6. If you want to plan a part which is project connected, select values in the PNG and Activity ID fields.
  7. Click the Register Forecast tab.
  8. Create a new record.
  9. In the Master Schedule Set field, enter the master schedule set for which you want to enter forecasts. Use the List of Values to select from available sets.
  10. In the Forecast Date field, enter the date when the forecast will be valid. The system determines if the date is within or outside of the time limit.
  11. Enter the forecast for the part in the Forecast field.
  12. Repeat steps 3-6 for each forecast you want to register.
  13. Save the information. When you save the forecast, the period is displayed.
