Generate PM Action

Explanation

This activity is used to create a new PM action from a standard job. A separate standard job will generate a separate PM action, and a route standard job will generate a route PM action.

Prerequisites

• Equipment objects must have been registered in IFS/Equipment in order to be selected on a record with Connection Type EQUIPMENT.
• Sites must have been registered and connected to the users in IFS/General Data for Inventory and Distribution.
• Actions, maintenance organizations, and route definitions must have been registered in IFS/Basic Data for Maintenance.
• The separate or route standard job should be active and valid.

System Effects

• A PM action will be generated with all the information from the standard job. The new PM action will receive the Preliminary status.
• The standard job ID and revision will be connected to the Jobs tab of the Separate PM Action or Route PM Action window.

Create PM Action from Standard Job

Procedure

1. Open either the Separate Standard Job window or the Route Standard Job window.
2. Query for an active and valid standard job (F3).
3. Right-click and then click Generate PM Action. The Create PM Action from Standard Job dialog box opens.
4. Enter values in the Site, Object ID, Action, Route ID (only applicable for Route PM actions) and Maint Org fields. Click List to select suitable values.
5. Click OK.
