Enter Salesmen
Explanation
Use this activity to view, modify, or enter information about the
salespeople in the company. This optional entry will allow you to gather and
analyze sales  statistics per salesperson.
Prerequisites
This activity has the following prerequisites:
  - Basic information must have been entered in IFS/Enterprise, in the 
	Person
    window. These records will be used when creating the salesperson entries.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
  - A salesperson is defined.
- The salesperson will be available from the List of Values in other windows, e.g., 
	Customer
    and 
	Customer Order.
- A default salesperson can be linked to each customer.
- Statistical reports can be generated to show sales activity per
    salesperson.
- If you select the Blocked for Use check box, the salesman will not 
	be available for further use and will not appear in the List of Values.

Procedure
  - Open the Sales Basic Data window.
- Click the 
	Salesmen  tab.
- Populate the tab to see existing data
- Select a line and select New to create a new record.
- Enter the ID of the salesperson in the Salesman column. Use the List of
    Values to select from the available records entered in the 
	Person
    record. 
- The name will automatically populate. The phone number will also populate if 
	it has
    been entered in the 
	Person/Address tab, with the communication
    method Phone selected, and the Method Default check box selected. You cannot
    manually enter the phone number in the 
	Salesmen tab.
- Optionally, select the Blocked for Use check box to block the 
	salesman from further use.
- Repeat steps 4-7, if desired, to add more salesperson records.
- Save the record.
