Define Service Contract Header

Explanation

Use this activity to define the service contract header. 

Prerequisites

• Contract type should be defined in Service Contract Basic Data.
• Coordinator should be defined in Coordinators.
• Customers should be defined in Customer.
• Contract managers should be defined in Person.
• Currency codes should be defined in Currency Codes.
• Sites should be defined and connected to the user in the Site window.

System Effects

As a result of this activity a new service contract will be created. The new service contract will receive the status Planned.

Procedure

1. Open the Service Contract window and create a new record (F5).
2. Enter a unique identity for the service contract in the Contract ID field. You may also leave the field empty if you prefer the system to automatically assign an identity.
3. Enter the description of the service contract in the Contract Name field.
4. Enter values in the following fields depending on your preferences: Coordinator and Contract Manager. Use the List of Values to select suitable values.
5. Enter the identity of the customer to whom this contract is applicable in the Customer No field and the currency code in the Currency field.
6. Change the value in the Date From field and enter an expiry date if required.
7. Click OK.
