FOR JOB AND WAGE HOURS
  • Extended Lesson

2
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
        • BY THE END OF THIS LESSON, YOU SHOULD KNOW:
  • How to create and assign compensation schedules for:
    • Increments for job hour based reporting.

  • SCHEDULED COMPENSATION FOR JOB AND WAGE HOURS
3
BENEFITS
  • Allows you to set up parameters for different types of increments in order to support labor agreements and laws.
  • Offers an effective way to handle increments for:
    • Inconvenient working hours
    • Compensation for dirty or uncomfortable conditions
    • Compensation for work tasks involving danger
  • SCHEDULED COMPENSATION FOR JOB AND WAGE HOURS
4
BASIC DATA
  • To be able to create compensation schedules, you need to set up the following basic data:
    • Administering Wage Codes for Job and Wage Hours
    • Administering Day Schedules for Job and Wage Hours
    • Administering Work Hour Rules for Job and Wage Hours
  • SCHEDULED COMPENSATION FOR JOB AND WAGE HOURS
5
SCHEDULED COMPENSATION
  • For many employees, labor laws or agreements specify that, for example, work done on evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays needs to be compensated with additional payment.
  • Creating different kinds of schedules for compensation enables you to comply with these labor law requirements.

INCREMENT SCHEDULES
  • Increment schedules are used to schedule compensation covering:
    • Inconvenient working hours, such as evening/night work.
  • Increment schedules consist of increment types which are entered into an increment schedule cycle. A substitution increment schedule may also be defined.
  • An increment type can be connected to either an increment schedule, a day type, or both.

7
INCREMENT TYPES
  • An increment type specifies increment wage codes and calculation parameters for these increments.
    • The calculation of increments is based on reporting on project activities, work orders, or shop orders in Time Management.
  • Because the increments are not based on clockings, the start and end time does not have to be defined in the increment type.
    • You can enter different kinds of increments for the same increment type as long as the increments are valid for the same day.
  • You can only use the following two validity codes for job hour based reporting:
    • Normal hours
    • Presence
