User Authentication Configuration

Select how the application server authenticates the users.

For SSO, be sure to pay extra attention to Request Limits and Account settings for IFS Servers.

1. IFS Middleware Server supports multi authentication. This means a user can be authenticated through the database or through an external registry such as an AD.
   
   Available authentication mechanisms:

   Name
   Oracle Database	All users resides in the database.
   LDAP	The users can be authenticated through the database or an LDAP registry.
   Windows Integrated Authentication	The users are authenticated through Oracle Database or LDAP and using SSO (Single Sign-on). When using SSO, web client does not show the login dialog, thus web client does not support multi authentication in this scenario.
