Connect Part Revision to an Item Code
Explanation
This activity is used to connect an existing part revision to an item code.
When the Requires
List Item Definition check box is selected for a deferral in the
Deferral
Definition window, item codes with maximum delays must be defined, and each part revision that should be
eligible to use this deferral must be associated with one or more item codes.
Prerequisites
  - The item code must have been defined. For more information on how to
define an item code, refer the activity Define Item Code.
- A part revision must exist.
- If the maximum delay of an item code is defined in an
operational parameter, the said operational parameter must also be defined for
the part number in the Serial Part/Operational Parameters tab.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, it will be possible to use the fault deferral on the defined part revisions
in the Serial Operational Information/Fault/Additional tab.
